I had dark scraped Oak floors and wanted lighter flooring . Claudio assessed the flooring and said would take a little longer to sand and refinish. He was amazing , took time to remove the dark scraped oak look to give me a beautiful light smooth oak floor in my large open plan living room kitchen and hall area. We had an engineered wood floor and I’m pretty sure nothing had been done to it since it was put in in 1986. I am unbelievably happy with the results, Claudio refinished it and it so so beautiful. I 100% recommend this company.

Claudio just refinished our hardwood floors and they're beautiful. He was very responsive and flexible as we went through the process of deciding how to refinish the floors. They were heavily damaged from dogs, and faded from the sun. The new floors have a beautiful matte finish with heavy duty finish with UV protection so they'll stand up for years against the dogs and elements. I would work with Claudio again anytime.

In my interior design work I always prefer wood flooring if budget allows. It’s rich, organic and warm on the feet compared to tile and vinyl.
In my latest project the owner had lovely 40 year old white oak floors that had seen better days. Instead of getting new flooring we opted to hire Claudio Polese to refinish the existing floors.

The workers were professional and Cezar was very patient with me in choosing a color of stain for the flooring. Response time to text and calls was very prompt as well. Also, the price to do the floors was very good.

I was so upset when I damaged my beautiful laminate flooring by dropping a heavy object on it. Cezar and his colleague were very professional and competent. Before hiring his company, I phoned over six companies that gave absurd quotes to replace a single plank / board. I was told by more than one company that they would have to remove multiple planks in order to replace the damaged one. I felt as if I was being scammed by these other companies. But Cezar's company did an excellent job and charged me a reasonable price. They did not even have to remove the baseboards to fix it. I am very happy with the result. These guys are amazing!

We reached out to about 3 other flooring services about refinishing the wood floors in our older home and they said it couldn't be done. Granted we had very gnarly floors with old mastic as you can see from the photos but no one was able or willing to restore them until we reached out to Cezar.

Cezar was able to identify that the wood for our flooring was Fir underneath all the glue and grime and was able to source reclaimed wood to repair the floors. They also helped us restore the staircase in the same wood and we're incredibly happy with the results.

We were also in midst of a reno and they were incredibly accommodating which was much appreciated.

tldr; Pretty okay. Went overtime by a couple days and took a ton of my attention.

Here are some fun stats it took to get 400 sqft refinished:
11 min on the phone, 10 texts, 12 emails with Walter (not bad). He seems to be the sole person behind the operation. Very curt. We agreed on a start and finish day and I was very clear that they were important. He wanted to start on a stat holiday and assured me it was no problem. However on the day before he let me know that the trades person had family issues (no kidding on a stat holiday?). So I would be talking with Claudio about starting two days later. I moved my schedule back to accommodate - what choice did I have. Claudio communication stats:
15 connected phone calls, 30 min on the phone, 26 text messages. All this for a couple days of work. Then for some reason I was asked to e-transfer directly to Claudio instead of the business.

Claudio did tell me he put an extra coat of protection on for my troubles!

We had our hardwood floors repaired and changed the color. While the color itself looks fine, the quality of the work is extremely disappointing. The floors stain and mark far too easily, and it’s clear that no proper protective coating was applied as the final step — something any professional should know is essential. This has made maintaining the floor a constant frustration and has turned something we were excited about into a nightmare. We are not satisfied with the service or the value for the payment we made.
